Los tres Zuloaga del Palacio Taranco: hispanismo, coleccionismo y patrimonio artístico en Uruguay
Desde un abordaje de la historia del arte que pone el acento en la circulación y valorización social de las obras de arte, este artículo reconstruye la “hoja de vida” de los tres óleos del pintor vasco Ignacio Zuloaga (1870-1945) que posee el estado uruguayo y que están en exhibición en el Museo de Artes Decorativas-Palacio Taranco en Montevideo. A partir de fondos documentales hasta ahora no utilizados por el investigador, se analiza el derrotero de estas pinturas desde que salieron del taller del artista hasta su ingreso al acervo estatal. Dicha trazabilidad de dominio y lugar permite aproximaciones a la historia del coleccionismo privado y su papel en la formación del acervo artístico público en Uruguay, y la influencia del hispanismo como narrativa cultural e identitaria en el consumo artístico de la elite social en las décadas en torno a la conmemoración del Centenario (1910-1930).

Los tres Zuloaga del Palacio Taranco: hispanismo, coleccionismo y patrimonio artístico en Uruguay
This article rebuilds the curriculum vitae of the three paintings by Basqueartist Ignacio Zuloaga (1870-1945) which are currently in custody of the Decorative Arts Museum - Palacio Taranco (Montevideo). It does so by assuming an approach to the history of art that stresses the importance of the processes of circulation and social valorization of artistic goods. The article traces down the pieces from the artist's atelier to the circumstances of its entering to state collections. By exploiting documentary resources which had not been previously researched, this traceability exercise introduces us to two aspects: the history of private collectors and their role in the formation of public artistic heritage in Uruguay, as well as the influence of Hispanisms a cultural and identity narrative on the social elites' consumption during the Centenario (1910 - 1930).
